How to Get to Siam Paragon – 5 Modes of Transport

Siam Paragon is a luxury shopping mall located in the Siam area with convenient access to public transport, including BTS Skytrain, buses, and taxis.

The 10-floor mall has 400,000 m2 of shopping and entertainment, including the SEA LIFE aquarium, IMAX cinema, bowling arena, spas, concert mall, dining, and high street shopping.

This article outlines the various transport methods available for getting to the mall.

Where is Siam Paragon?

Siam Paragon is centrally located off Rama I Road in the Siam area of Bangkok, referred to as central Bangkok.

The mall is within walking distance of popular attractions, shopping malls, and hotels, including Siam Center, Siam Square, Siam Discovery, CentralWorld, MBK, and the Siam Kempinski Hotel.

How to get there?

BTS Skytrain

The BTS is one of the most convenient ways of getting to Siam Paragon because it has a directly connected walkway to a BTS station.

The closest BTS station is Siam, an interchange station connecting the BTS Sukhumvit Green and Silom Dark Green lines, so it has excellent accessibility around the city.

To get there by BTS, simply hop on a green or dark green line in the direction of Siam Station and once you’ve arrived, follow the signs to either exit 3 or 5, where you’ll find the mall’s entrance.

Depending on your departure station, the BTS will cost around 17-47 THB. A ticket can be purchased at the BTS station, or if you use the BTS frequently, a top-up card is available to add credit and avoid queueing for tickets on each journey.

MRT Subway

There are two ways to access Siam Paragon by MRT, but they require connecting with the BTS or using alternative transport such as a taxi.

Option 1: MRT to Sukhumvit station

Get the MRT to Sukhumvit MRT station, then transfer to BTS Asoke station, a short walk from the MRT and get on a BTS green line in the direction of Siam station.

Depending on the distance, the MRT will cost around 17-50 THB.

The BTS from Asoke to Siam station will cost 32 THB per person.

Option 2: MRT to Si Lom station

Get the MRT to Si Lom station, then transfer to Sala Daeng BTS station, a short walk from the MRT and then take the dark green BTS line towards Siam Station.

Depending on the distance, the MRT will cost around 17-50 THB.

The BTS from Sala Daeng to Siam station will cost 25 THB per person.

Insider tip:

  • Unfortionally, the BTS top-up card can’t be used on the MRT subway line, which has its top-up card.

Bus

Siam Center (23) and Siam Square (24) are the closest bus stations to Siam Paragon mall, operated by multiple bus routes around the city.

The bus to Siam costs around 8-25 THB depending on the bus type and distance traveled. Some buses don’t have air conditioning, so if you prefer that, check the list below for AC bus route options.

Siam Center Bus Station no 23 is located outside Siam Paragon mall.

Taxis, Grab, and Bolt

Siam Paragon is a popular area, so you’ll have no issue communicating your destination to a public taxi driver. Either hail a public roadside taxi (the colorful ones) or use ride-hailing services such as Grab or Bolt.

Public taxis are the cheapest option, but app-based ride-hailing provides additional services such as vehicle selection, driver reviews, and safety features.

Ride-hailing applications provide an upfront estimate but may add additional congestion charges.

Insider tip:

  • Public taxis should always have their meter on and charge per km, so you can refuse the ride if the driver asks for a fixed fare.

Personal vehicle

Parking for bikes and cars is available at Siam Paragon but always check the traffic conditions in an app like Google Maps because the Siam area has a lot of traffic congestion, especially during peak hours.

Navigate to Siam Paragon by mapping Siam Paragon, 991 Rama I Rd, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, within your sat nav or driver navigation application.

Parking for Siam Paragon can be found behind the mall by turning left off Rama I Rd and following the signs to the Siam Paragon parking lot.
