Taxis
Public taxis are available 24/7 and can be hailed on the street or booked through apps like Grab or Bolt. I usually prefer to book a local taxi through an app because the destination is easier for the driver, but ICONSIAM is a well-known landmark and should be easy to communicate with a street-side hailed taxi.
Cost: Starting from 35 THB depending on distance and vehicle type
Insider tip:
- Book a taxi through a dedicated app like Grab or Bolt for its added safety features and ease of use
Tuk-tuks
When booking through a ride-hailing service you can pick your desired vehicle type from budget to luxury and vehicles with a capacity for up to 9 passengers.
Tuk-tuks can be found in popular tourist areas of Bangkok, such as Sukhumvit, Chinatown, Khao San Road, and the Grand Palace. Although fun, they might not be the most suitable transport option to get to ICONSIAM because they lack comfort and safety.
Also, Tuk-tuks are generally more expensive than public taxis because they don’t run on a meter, and the driver determines the fare, so always negotiate the fare with the driver before getting into the tuk-tuk.
Cost: Depends on the driver and your negotiating skills.
Bus
If you’re feeling adventurous, getting the bus to ICONSIAM is another budget-friendly transport option. Many bus routes pass by ICONSIAM, stopping at the bus station Khlong San Market or Opposite Khlong San Market.
Khlong San Market bus station is directly outside ICONSIAM, and Opposite Khlong San Market station is on the other side of the main road.
Some bus routes don’t have air-conditioned buses, so if you prefer comfort, pick a bus route with AC.
Cost: Starting from 9 THB depending on the distance and bus type
